The point about using OpenGL is that, with modern techniques, drawing can
be optimized enormously. When comparing the task of rendering a PCB with
what current games do, I believe that a render time of <10ms should be
possible even with the most complex board. The fact that PCB uses OpenGL
doesn't mean that PCB actually employs these optimizations, though.
