Ok, I'm wondering exactly how much of DOS will they cut out. I really
hope they leave the command prompt in. Even in Windows developement I
use good ole make with the VC++ command-line.

I can see them cutting out the real-mode DOS boot at the start. Like
Windows NT. Now would DJGPP be compatible with the Windows command
prompt in W2K (a fitting acronym)? Seems they've also dispensed with
the Win9x and NT thing. It's Windows 2000 Professional (NT) and
Standard (9x), and other versions.

No command prompt? I'm stickin with '98.
