Actually, no.  Most people have no trouble installing DJGPP at all.  It's 
only those who don't read all those README files that have problems ;-).

Just follow the instructions, you don't need to understand Makefiles, 
since somebody has already prepared them.  I believe the instructions say 
something like ``install the packages, then chdir to the Allegro source 
directory and type "make"''.  But PLEASE read the instructions, don't 
just do the above because I said so!
