That's because Robert never saves the window number to disk and hence the 
number is the Z position.

Try using my editor (is the same code inside RHIDE but as an standalone 
editor) is under /v2apps/edi04??b.zip. I store the window number in the 
desktop file so the numbers are never swapped. Additionally Window 1 is the 
project all the time.

Why do you think your idea is logically correct? ;-)

Ugh! You can do the same from the editor plus: 1) Make is called with one 
keystroke 2) You collect the gcc errors with the editor.

But I really don't understand why the order of the windows is so important. I 
mainly use the project to locate a source and as a second option Alt+0.
