Thank you to Terry for informing me about the LFN parameter... that was the
problem after all. However now it seems that since I can get it to compile it
won't link properly. Now I have seen several posts complaining about linking
problems in this group and perhaps this has something to do with it.
Essentially in RHIDE when I compile the C++ code it returns no errors. but
then when I try and run it I get the message:

Cannot open -lstdcx: No such file or directory (ENOENT)

I assume that the linked is trying to use -lstdcx as a command-line parameter.
I went into DOS and tried it out for myself on the command line and I got the
exact same error. SO I assume that either RHIDE is trying to link with an
invalid parameter or the parameter simply isn't supported in this linker.
If anyone has any hints on how to get around this, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanx in advance!

Vagabond Kube.
