Elite?   I was playing that when I was about 10 yrs old I think (back
in '88 maybe?).  It was a trading game, and you flew into the rotating
sphere to dock, etc?  I would love to see that again.

You should read the 3dfaq first, which is not brilliant, but should be
a good intro :

Then take some time to look at Allegro example's 22 and 25.
