There are two large indices at the end of the FAQ.  They are there so you 
could look for the issues that are pertinent to your problem(s).  In this 
case, I would look for entries either under "Redirect" in the first 
index or under "GCC" in the second.

If you use Info to read the FAQ, there's also the `s' (search) command.  
But the indices are the main vehicle for searching the FAQ.  Too bad they 
are under-used.

First thing I would look for is some header from the Cygwin port that 
declares some matrix class/struct/enum/typedef/whatever.
