Guess I'm just dumb. There are two large indices at the end of the FAQ. They are there so you could look for the issues that are pertinent to your problem(s). In this case, I would look for entries either under "Redirect" in the first index or under "GCC" in the second. If you use Info to read the FAQ, there's also the `s' (search) command. But the indices are the main vehicle for searching the FAQ.
