When I'm running something graphical in a Dos box like above if I've got
a few programs sitting in the background doing *nothing* like Netscape
and my net software which is just eating ram but not CPU time I get this
quick pause every few frames, if I close all the other programs it'll
run as smooth as it does in Dos.
How much ram do you have??
16 meg??
Try closing down as much as you can, even Explorer. Try creating a new
Desktop shortcut to run your program or run it through Run on the start
menu.
Also try switching Win95 to a low res, (should free up some Vid memory.)
Remember even a Dos box takes 1 meg.
Does a Dos based program count as a Dos box though??
