I did use gcc and only the -l switch to link the graphics library (GRX).
That's fine, right?

So, that means I HAVE! to distribute my source? I don't like the sound of
that, but, oh well, it's FREEWARE anyhow.

If I distribute my source, it'll be the C/C++ source (no .O).
