Still wildly off topic, but I have to say that my dream data transfer
device is my Travan tape drive. It's an Iomeda Ditto 800, so it's a
small light box with a seperate PSU and a parallel lead hanging off
it. 400Mb to a tape, but of course the manufacturers claim 800Mb with
compression! Anyway, I can take it round a friend's house and take a
copy of his entire HDD if I want (ask first, kids!), at a rate of
about 5megs a minute, then take it home again... and it works as a
backup device, too!

It's worth about a hundred quid, but I got it free (smug)
