Following the discussions of the ease with which emacs could be compiled
using djgpp, I decided to give it a go, since emacs is the only reason
for keeping my old v1 go32.exe around.

Following the instructions, everything goes swimmingly, except for mv on
the machine I was using not recognising -f,
Anyway, I did those bits by hand, and everything appeared to work.

However, when I attempt to run emacs, all I get is a long list of digits
being output for about three screens worth, and then it exits (normally
I think).

Is there some obvious mistake I have made in configuration, or is it a
subtle effect of my set up?

All suggestions greatfully received.
