Walnut Creek CD-ROMs in California has what they call the SimTelNet shareware
archive. (SimTel is an old U.S. army site which has been closed for several
years.)

It has many mirrors around the world. Look in the /gnu/djgpp directory.

From Portugal, try:

 	ftp://ftp.ip.pt/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/
	ftp://ftp.ua.pt/pub/si...
	ftp://ftp.rediris.es/mirror/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp
	ftp://ftp.grolier.fr/pub/si...
	ftp://ftp.ibp.fr/pub/simtelnet/...
......
	ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/sim...

This last address connects to a number of U.S. sites, and, what with the time
zone difference, it may be just as fast as a European server.

Up to a few months ago, the guy who is in charge of SimTelNet worked for a
different company and they have what they still call the "SimTel" archive.
(although he claims they have to give up the name)

They are at ftp.coast.net and I think the directory is "/Coast/vendors", but I
couldn't get in to check just now. I'm sure they also have mirrors.

I think that at least one of them has a files-by-mail service.
