An improved version of the File System Extensions for serial IO is on ftp://ftp.lstm.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/pub/djgpp/fsxcom.c It seems to be pretty functional, you'll need SVAsync.zip to get it running, and a patch for libc to extend the funtionality of fcntl(). The patch is in the file fcntl.pat at the same place (by Bill Currie). What is still needed to get the full functionality is a serial port driver for more than one ports, and maybe interrupt driven output. And a halfway portable way to set the port parameters, for which I have not yet found a satisfying solution. Any ideas welcome.
