You might want to try Programmer's File Editor (PFE).

It can do multiple files, UNIX files (i.e., files w/o the
[ab]normal DOS CR/LF pair), and lets your compile straight
from within it.  It even captures the output from you compile
(or any other DOS program), so you can view your compile
errors while editing your files.

I wish that it had VI key bindings (I know, I know, but I'm
used to VI), but it works pretty well.

Best of all, it's free.
