If you want an example of sprite functions and some other gamish stuff,
check out:

which is the start of a gaming library for DJGPP.  I'm working on version 
0.9 now,  which is DPMI compliant,  has a 640x480x256 target, and works 
under Linux as well (with svgalib).  The new version should be out in a 
few weeks,  but programs written for versions 0.5 and 0.6 will not be too 
difficult to move,  if you want to examine the old version.

If you are really serious about game programming in particular then wait 
for the new version,  it offers a lot more.  Alternatively,  you might 
want to wait for grx V2,  which will be very good,  no doubt.

I'll post an announcement here when the new version is out.
