Subject: problems with CPP.EXE
To: DJGPP list <djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu>

Hi, DJGPPers,

yesterday I got a serious problem with DJGPP 1.10:

I tried to adapt and recompile a large UNIX program to DJGPP, and during
the MAKE run GCC died without saying anything.
Just the normal line 'gcc -c -g file.c' and then
                     'Error ?: deleting file.o'

I first thought it was a problem with MAKE, and tried to compile it by
hand, but this time GCC died silently.

Tried giving the argument '-v' to see what's going on, and saw that CPP
just gave up without saying anything like a error message, CC1 wasn't
even called.

Any idea how to solve this problem, or how to detect where the problem
occured ?

Many thanks in advance...
                            ...Matthias
