Each module is made primarily of 1/2 inch hardwood veneer plywood, with solid sides, back, and bottom. The top is fastened to the desk with cleats of either solid hardwood or plywood. The rear cleat has holes, while the front cleat has slots to allow for desk top expansion and contraction.
