The purpose of the Configuration Management group was to manage all the platforms and configurations that were used to develop and build Cabletron's software products. My responsibilities in this group included:

• Writing build automation programs
• Writing enhanced source control programs (on top of Sablime)
• Creating CM's web site, one of the first (and still one of the biggest) web sites in Cabletron. Nearly all of CM's services are now available through the web.
