Greetings,

I'm looking for a version of the pentium objcopy program that
successfully implements the --localize-symbol switch.

I have used the mips and ppc versions of the gnu compilation tools
and their respective objcopy programs support the switch.

In the build script we use "objcopy --localize-symbol" to alter the scope of
some symbols that conflict with symbols in other libraries.
This option works on PPC and MIPS builds, but has no effect on PENTIUM
(And the pentium version of objcopy does not complain that the switch
is unrecognized).

Anyone encounter this problem and if you have a solution please
forward it.

I am not on the mailing list.
