Hello pqcc,
I have a Pentium motherboard which I am trying to upgrade from 75 mhz =
to 200 mhz.I have no idea how to identify this motherboard though I'm =
sure you know a way.My problem is that the cpu which I have installed is =
an evergreen mx pro 200 cpu.It is socket 5 and socket 7 compatible and =
it fits perfectly in the board(which incidentally is socket 7),yet BIOS =
only recognizes 66mhz with this particular cpu.The AMD 75 cpu that was =
previously installed is recognized as 75mhz unless the jumpers are =
changed around or completely removed in which case this 75 is recognized =
as an AMD 90 mhz cpu and runs at 83 mhz according to BIOS.The person I =
got this evergreen cpu from says that though BIOS recognizes 66 it is =
indeed running at 200 mhz.Is this true?If not,is there a way to upgrade =
BIOS or change some of the jumper settings to get this board to =
recognize 200?By the way I am not on your mailing list.I was told to =
inform you of that when writing.Any response will be greatly =
appreciated.
               THANK YOU, Brian Leonard
