maybe Marc will be able to clarify this.

Why don't you go ahead and compile the pgcc-2.95.3 from the sources? I have
never used the binaries, yet right now I am running a Mandrake 6.0 with
PGCC-2.95.3 and it works perfectly (don;t know about the floating point, I
dont really use it).
The configure options I used to compile my compiler are:
--enable-multilib --enable-shared --enable-threads --enable-haifa
--prefix=3D/usr

I would recommend you wait for the new Mandrake 7.0 iso (version2), it
should be available pretty soon (maybe even today it is).
