I have some problems installing g77 (pg77) on Linux RedHat 6.1.
I have read the FAQ and followed the instructions (to untar ...)

At the beginning gcc didn't work either but I found out that it was
looking at non-existent directories. The solution was to to
mkdir /usr/local/pgcc/lib and to add there a link named
gcc-lib which points to /usr/lib/gcc-lib.

Now, the problem is that g77 makes an executable from a
demo hello.for which causes a segmentation fault.
From "g77 -v" info my guess is that it can't find the right assembler.
Note that I am not on the mailing list, so if anyone has an
answer or a link with installation instructions please send me a copy
of the answer at agiotis AT central DOT ntua DOT gr.

Thanks!

I have attached a g77 -v text file.
