I'm having problems with pgcc version 2.95.2 .

When I tried to "make bootstrap" on my AMD K6-2 mashine I got an
"Illegal Instruction" and the build stoped.

I tried it on an Intel Pentium II and "make bootstrap" ran without any errors.

but, back on my AMD K6-2 again, when I tried to run the resulting binary 
I got the following error:

This error shurely is in your code, because a unpatched gcc-2.95.2 does not 
have this problem.

Also pgcc-2.95.1 worked fine - no problems at all.
