Hi there!

I just signed the order for my new machine, an 650 MHz AMD Athlon.
Everything's fine for
me so far. But now I'm just only wondering, which compiler options for
the PGCC will get
the most out of the K7 ? - OK, I guess there is no *real* support for
the K7 at this early
stage available. - But can anybody shine a light on this question?

Should I optimize for K6, or for PII, or even Pentium (only) or 486 or:
????

Perhaps you should put this question in your FAQ, since I guess you'll
hear this one
more than once in the near future... ;-)

On the other hand: If it's of any help, I'd play the tester for
compiling stuff, when needed.

I myself have only very little time available and even fewer C/C++
programming skills...
But I'd try to help whenever I can!

Best regards,

    Herbert

BTW: Target system for me is Linux (Kernel 2.2.x or even 2.3.x)
