Just extract the egcs source tree into /usr/src for example and cd to
the egcs directory. Then type zcat patchfile.gz |patch -p1 -E and
watch your screen fill up with garbage. Then READ THE INSTRUCTIONS
LOCATED IN THE INSTALL DIRECTORY(!) and compile. Shouldn't be too
difficult if the configure script successfully detects your host
type.
