Subject: Optimum setting for kernel compilation
Reply-To: pgcc AT delorie DOT com

I know this is quite subjective, but I'll take any help I
can get:

I've tried to compile 2.2.3> kernels with pgcc with varying
results:

some builds fail
some build but don't boot, etc.

I'm on a Mendocino (Celeron) 366.

Could someone send me thier CFLAGS? I've been the most
sucessfule with -o2 (which, i believe is the default in
kernel Makefile).

Be gentle, I'm new to this....

The sticker on the side of the box said "Supported
Platforms: Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, or better", so
clearly Linux was a supported
platform.
