I thought just to be safe I'd double check the filesystem. It's a scratch
partition I just mount when I need extra space at this point in time.

Cougar:/home/jahrens# fsck -f /dev/hda6
Parallelizing fsck version 1.10 (24-Apr-97)
e2fsck 1.10, 24-Apr-97 for EXT2 FS 0.5b, 95/08/09
Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes
Pass 2: Checking directory structure
Pass 3: Checking directory connectivity
Pass 4: Checking reference counts
Pass 5: Checking group summary information
/dev/hda6: 52659/536576 files (5.3% non-contiguous), 1402105/2144992 blocks

All seems to be well...

When you have 200 programmers trying to write code for one
product, like Win95 or NT, what you get is a multiple personality
program. By definition, the real problem is that these programs are
psychotic by nature and make people crazy when they use them.
