I did have the same problem. You can ignore the complaints. pgcc
builds fine anyhow. 
I think the problem is , that egcs´ "make distclean" doesn´t work
properly and didn´t remove the .info files, produced by a build of
egcs. So Bernd did not have clean egcs sources when making the patch.
