Hi! Every one.

Sorry because I have to make some additions to the first mail.
The different results a computational program flops.c give under X and
Ascii mode Only happen when I login
with my username, other's user are not affected.
    How strange!
I have installed many applications: netscape, staroffice, kde, octave,
mathematica, gimp,
C-forge, DDD3.0. That 's , I deem, the main difference between me and
other users.
Could these applications affected a floating point program's
performance?

Comments are appreciated.

                            Pan Xing
