I do not have physical access to this machine most of the time, so please
be patient..

I recently installed pgcc 1.0.3 on a friends computer (P166 non-mmx, 32
Megs EDO, Linux RH5.0 with glibc 2.0.7 from rh5.1)

I then proceded to recompiled both QT and KDE with, it seemed, no problem.
After recompilation, ALL binaries generated bombed with a segfault. An
strace got all the way to an mprotect() call, and that was it.

How might I trace this furhter? What might I have done in the process? I
have made this problem dissappear by re-installing the redhat gcc, g++ and
libs, but would like simply to use pgcc.
