Rob,

-f requires an argument that specifies the output file format. For
instance, you may want to use "-f pcb" to convert the PostScript input
file to a pcb file. pstoedit will only convert PostScript (PS) or
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) files. I have read that PDF is also
supported, but my experience with 3.70 produces fatal errors from
ghostscript.

Have you read the pstoedit manual?

http://www.pstoedit.net/

Scroll down to "More Information" and click on "The Manual" to read it.
It is also supplied as an htm file in the source code "./doc" directory.

You could also try pstoedit -help for a command syntax listing.
(pstoedit -help | lpr)

HTH.

Girvin
