Hi all,
I have successfully used gEDA tools to release several PCB=E2=80=99s for my=
open source project and plan to do so for many more. Thanks for your help=
earlier.
I wanted to share the way I set up gEDA in case it might be useful for new =
comers.=20
The design process includes a directory structure and some scripts I pulled=
and modified from other people. Here is the link to the write-up and the =

One controversial topic you will notice is I keep symbols under each pcb fo=
lder, instead of having one big library where each pcb project points to. I=
debated a lot about this. My reasoning is after I release a pcb to fab, I =
save everything together in one piece so if I come back to it 2 years later=
I don=E2=80=99t have to worry about where pieces were again.=20
Last I use gEda on Windows, running gEda on Windows Linux Subsystem and X41=
0 app for X-Window.
