Yes, indeed we should not pollute the geda-mailing list with long
discussions, but I thought that geda people may be still interested in
this discussion. I think I saw pcb-rnd discussion on this list, but it
may be long time ago. So I will follow you and reply private only.
Currently I can tell you not much unfortunately -- I would love a nice
external router indeed, but as I told you, making it work fully self-
sufficient as an external router is still some work, at least we would
have to add moving of components in a really smart way. (You may know
from the related PhD-Thesis that topological routing is an integrated
process, it is not routing incremental one trace after the other, and
it mixes very bad with manual routing unfortunately. I had the feeling
that Push-and-Shove is more popular than autorouting, so maybe you
should concentrate on that topic.
