These days a virtual machine that can run that costs $5/month...so the whole stack method can make it low effort...
That whole stack method would not jive with DJ's setup though, since I bet he uses a Red Hat based linux distro,
and has things the way he can maintain it.

I have an account with atlantic.net and could start it up to test out... I even have a store credit
with them that I will not be able
to use up very fast, so another $5/month drain on it for the next year would be no trouble. Then we ask around for tip jar money
for the hostmasters...and 12 paypal $5 gifts later and your in for another year... I'm not a security expert,
but have not detected attacks that got through to my servers in the 7 or 8 years I've been doing it.

I didn't see anything about trackers in gogs.io... trackers is a biggie -- we can use them for code that runs GUIs
and snippets that define footprints and symbols to spread the load of vetting parts so they stop all the complaining
as new people get going.

Footprints and symbols need some kind of has in them that is OK to change to be unique so parts form the whole world
can come together and not clash.
