You are right Peter, PCB finds all of the connections when "f" is clicked on larger piece of polygon and none if on smaller, even if polygon is "full". Also it is not possible to select the polygon by clicking on smaller piece, only on larger. Anyway I don't think this is a major bug, I rarely use full polygons - unconnected island usually means that the routing is wrong :-).
