That mincut algo is the way pcb-rnd shows shorts these days.

The workhorse part of the code is still a separate module in a separate 
dir with a fairly generic idea of graphs and no dependency on PCB 
internals. It'd be very simple to merge in mainline and should be easy to 
apply to that situation.

I can provide IRC/email support in case someone wants to play with it.
