But they aren't modifying it with the intention of making it worse, and on
the average there's no real reason to assume the "leader" is going to be a
better judge than the contributor, especially on the issue the contributor
is trying to address.  All FOSS works essentially on this principle.  If
you don't like it perhaps FOSS isn't for you.
