Sounds interesting... and I'd say, sounds like it qualifies as "experience".

The leader doesn't necessarily need to be someone doing the most
coding - or even the most design work, they just need the backing of
enough of the community, and have the personality to cope with
mediating / setting the project direction.

Sounds sensible... I would be up for contributing to that.

I should go over some of the preliminary stuff Peter B and I started
talking over on netlists / structures, before a) getting busy, and b)
realising that we can't design it before we get good buy-in.
