Disclaimer, I am not affiliated with SnapEDA. This service was briefly
mentioned in another thread; from what I have seen so far it is worth
sharing in its own thread.

SnapEDA (see [1])
-> Free commercial use and export of their library of symbols and footprints
-> Exports to Kicad/Eagle/Altium/Orcad/PADS/etc...
- (Its a shame gEDA isn't on that list, not that it isn't hard to
convert...)
-> No apparent usage limitations or vendor lock-in required. They seem to
make money not by selling their symbols, but by selling symbol creation and
batch exporting services.

Their business model is uncommon, I think, most companies of this type
require subscriptions.

So far I have downloaded symbols for a few microcontrollers and FPGAs; they
look fine and match up with datasheets as far as I can tell. I'm going to
give their library a test drive by building a design using a few exported
parts.
