No need to hurry up, have your time. I have not managed to do much work
on the issue yet and these problems I am aware of are in polygon.c only.

The DRC check is, as far as I understand, independent of actual
(approximated) cutout shape -- at least now. (so DRC violation is not
triggered in the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/pcb/+bug/1100620
mentioned yesterday for example)

Anyway, thanks for the warning and info, should it turn out necessary to
dive into DRC related parts too, I'll wait for your commit first.
