That's a great example. The world moved on and Motif now "feels"
outdated. I'm sure it's perfectly fine though!

For me it is less available and more strange than gtk, only because
I'm more used to gtk.

I guess gtk is the reason we use cairo and pango more now? They bring
some significant benefits, and so we also have indirect benefits from
using a new product, which may not have been obvious when starting a
gtk2 hid.
