Hi Stefan,

A GTK-3 GUI for pcb can coexist besides the GTK-2 and the Lesstif GUIs 
without much ado.

I thought about this a couple of times, and I'm still not sure if 
GtkBuilder is the way to go.

Maybe "plain" code is better maintainable.

I will help and assist you if you start on this "project".
