> 2. It used to be easy to “clean up” a selection by shift-click on the objects I didn’t want selected. But now, gschem *extends* the selection when you do this to a net segment. Fortunately, I can disable this inconsistent behavior with (net-selection-mode "disabled”). It is quite common in other applications to hold down the "ctrl" key to toggle selection and the "shift" key to select region with the left mouse button. Example is the file browser. If I remember correctly gEDA cycle thru the selections then there ar several possibilities underneath the pointer to chose from which is very useful. This should be even more useful in pcb since there usually are several objects in top of each other.
