Current pcb format has characters defined by regular strokes. So no 
need for a transform. DRC and connection-check ignore text anyway.

IMHO, the geometry shown on screen should be as close as possible to 
the shapes the fab is expected to produce. This is one of the few 
instances where what-you-see-is-what-you-get actually makes sense.
