I know this is going to sound crass but that is not proper drafting
technique. I am pretty sure I can find references for this fact.

I hate kissing mode but I accept it in the name of compromise. I have
to since removing it would break other peoples art. To me it was
always a bug.

Moving a component off a diagonal line could be made to work but down
through it is fought with problems.
