I can only speak for myself. But for me, this is simply not true. If I
were this kind of guy, I'd have switched to altium long time ago.

Devs need to foster offspring. Like any CAD suite, EDA has generally
no shortage of room for improvement. The more coders the better. And
of course offspring is needed to carry the torch when the current
generation of devs retires.
