Bad idea.  Openmoko's infamous bug #1024 was caused (in part) by
putting physical 0Rs in the place of PCB layout star connection
points.

I have an idea as to how star connection points can be implemented
properly, but it will be a couple of months before I start working on
my Next Generation PCB - see my previous post.
