Random musing:

In theory, would it be possible to push out a more recent release of PCB
into the Debian/Ubuntu repositories under the pretense of a "security
patch"?

The current version available for public consumption dates from 2011 and
has several prominent bugs which affect usability. Of all of the bugs that
have been fixed in the past four years, I am certain that one must meet the
criteria.
