Well. This is important enough to be raised as a topic time and again 
until the default library is finally in a satisfying state.

I remember to have fixed the easy ones like broken links and 
inconsistent description. But you also mentions some more basic 
issues. I will answer in a separate mail to the list.

Traumpflug currently plows through the heap of bug reports on 
launchpad and marks them as appropriate. Since I am on the observer 
list I get an email for every changed report. One of them contained a 
preliminary patch to introduce blind and buried vias. Maybe, it is 
worth to take a look at this effort:
